KOKRAJHAR: A Step towards development in Assam has been taken by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal who has advocated a three point mantra of Education, Culture and Sports. Sonowal reportedly stated while speaking on the 14th foundation day celebration of Central Institute of Technology at Kokrajhar that Culture and sports can contribute a lot in terms of paving a path towards the effective implementation of their rich human resources. He even requested the parents and the teachers to be the right guide for the kids in their path of educational excellence. Also the Central Institute of Technology got appreciation from the CM for gradually developing itself into a center of importance where people from multiple regions come and study together. The director and other faculty members were requested by the CM to convert the institution into an Institute of Integration and Unity.
According to the CM Kokrajhar and certain other districts of BTAD which were once considered as disturbed areas can now certainly claim themselves to be an ideal of peace, progress and prosperity. Further he went on to thank BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary for bringing forth his men and machinery and making development a reality in BTAD areas. He also acknowledged him for transforming the BTAD areas into a place of harmony and peace and finally invited everybody to strengthen the bond of friendship and unity in BTAD areas.
CM Sonowal suggested that one of the primary interests of his government is to encourage equal development of all the 33 districts in the State, hence he even requested the concerned persons of BTAD to execute the government schemes in totality in all the four districts.
He expressed his views about how he feels equally about all the culture and considers all work to be the best work. Further he called upon the students and motivated them to work hard in order to bring more recognition to the nation. He suggested them to be innovative and utilize the various tools available in areas of science and technology so that even they contribute to the development of the country.
Sonowal addressed the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar and said that this institute will be highly responsible for the ease of life for the people of society. The new academic block IV that the CM laid foundation will possibly be built with a financial outlay of Rs. 138 crore.
Condolences on the loss of former President Of Bodo Sahitya Sabha Bajendra Kumar Brahma. Hagrama Mohilary, BTC Chief, during his speech also pondered over the latest plan of all the development works which will be rolled out in the BTC Areas in the upcoming days. This occasion was joined by State Tourism Minister CHANDAN Brahma, Deputy Chief of BTC Khampa Borgoyari, Director of CIT Prof. DK Chakraborty and host of few other dignitaries.
