Udemy has launched Learning Paths, a new feature for Udemy for Business customers. This could help Udemy customers to curate Udemy Business courses, external materials, and proprietary company resources. It helps develop and further enhance a personalized learning experience to achieve specific outcomes.
Learning Paths also leverage Udemy’s proprietary insights engine to recommend most in-demand courses to support specific skills needs. For increased personalization, Learning Path creators can also choose to include specific courses or lectures to address their learning needs. It could help the customers to add resilient services to their apps by learning configuration management, continuous deployment, and other DevOps techniques. They can also optimize their workflows by employing features of Git in their projects.
Learning Paths also helps Udemy customers to explore with Docker to achieve rapid application deployment, reliability, scalability, and portability across machines and clouds. Last but not the least it could also help them learn how to configure and deploy Puppet.
As a result, the Udemy customers can onboard employees, master critical competencies as well as support career development plans for their employees. They can also include content unique to their organizations to address their key business objectives.
“At Udemy for Business, we believe there are many ways to extend the impact of learning at organizations,” said Irwin Anand, Managing Director, Udemy India. The proof of the pudding though lies in the outcome. “Learning Paths help our customers deliver learning outcomes with powerful course recommendations, reach learning goals faster by selecting relevant portions of a course, and access resources more easily in one central location,” added Anand.
More than 40 million students are mastering new skills at the Udemy online platform from expert instructors teaching over 130,000 online courses in topics ranging from programming and data science to leadership and team building.
Udemy for Business offers an employee training and development platform with subscription access to 3,500+ courses, learning analytics, as well as the ability to host and distribute their own content. Earlier this year, Udemy for Business launched international collections of courses taught in German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
