A gamified financial literacy app named Meri Dukaan has been launched by UBS today in partnership with the Pratham Education Foundation, known to be one of the largest NGOs in India. Pratham, in its pilot phase will launch the app in 100 training centres across the country.
An Umbrella CSR program got announced by the UBs India Community Affairs and the UBS Optimus Foundation. The first product of this collaboration is known to be Meri Dukaan. Developed by the Information Technology team of UBS, this android based gaming app brings the children and youth in terms with financial and entrepreneurial concepts in arelatable and informal way. This app has been designed to simulate the experience of running a grocery store. It addresses key skills of commercial sectors which also includes the management of inventory, finance, insurance, banking and more.
